It appears to have been stored properly for all these years as the color is as crisp and vibrant as the day it was made! The design is stunning. Made from an amazing early rayon jersey that is cut on the bias so has a touch of stretch to it, this dress is just wonderful. It appears to have been stored properly for all these years as the color is as crisp and vibrant as the day it was made! The design is stunning. A beautiful floral design is done in a brilliant combination of pink and yellow. Its an unusual color combination for this time period and really something special. The cut is simple and sweet with a dipped neckline and soft gathered pleating along each shoulder. The waist nips in with attached ties  that you can use to cinch it in further. There is a curved panel of fabric on each side that is built in for a suggestion of a hip peplum without any of the bulk that a true on would give you. The skirt is cut swing style and gently curves away from the more fitted hip area. The front has a row of three large early plastic buttons that look like twisted licorice and are fabulous. Really a spectacular and special piece. Presents as excellent condition.

Unlined and closes with a side metal zipper. There is slight color run near the seam under each arm but it does not show when on and does not detract at all because of the print.
